Timor-Leste accedes to the New York Convention

This is in accordance with article XII (2) of the New York Convention which reads as follows: “For each State ratifying or acceding to this Convention after the deposit of the third instrument of ratification or accession, this Convention shall enter into force on the ninetieth day after deposit by such State of its instrument of ratification or accession. Situated 550 km north of Australia, Timor-Leste is the smallest and more eastern island of the Malay archipelago. Timor-Leste includes the enclave of Oecussi-Ambeno, situated on the Western (Indonesian) part of the island, and the islands of Ataúro and Jaco.
